Head Coach
Sam Holland

Sam grew up in Shropshire and attended Ellesmere College where he joined Titans when the club started in 2009, having previously been a member of Whitchurch Wasps Swimming Club since the age of eight.
After his GCSEs Sam moved out to the BEST Centre in Mallorca where he was able to train in the outdoor 50m pool every day alongside studying for his A Levels.
Upon completion of his A Levels Sam was offered coaching work at the BEST Centre which was mainly with the Family Swim Holidays and the Masters Clinics.
It was during this time that Sam became fluent in Spanish and took an active role in the organisation of the annual Mallorca Olympic Triathlon followed soon afterwards by becoming one of the main organisers of the famous BEST FEST Open Water Swim Festival, a role he continues in to this day.
During his time at the BEST Centre Sam worked alongside coaches from all over the world including Olympic coaches on training camps with their national teams, including, amongst many others, GB’s David McNulty, Head Coach at Bath University who coached Olympic medallists, Michael Jamieson and Jo Jackson.
On his return to the UK in November 2016 Sam set up Wavelength, back in November 2016.
When setting up the company Sam wanted to give swimmers the chance to excel at something they love, by helping them to develop more efficient strokes and therefore enabling them to take their swimming to the next level.
With our highly qualified team of coaches and quality video analysis clinics we are able to do just that.
Sam is the Head Coach for Shrewsbury Swimming Club and has been selected for England Talent Coach Advisor/Mentor Support as part of the Swim England Development Programme.
